James Cameron Changes One Shor in Titanic 3D, pisses off Star Wars fans

James Cameron recently admitted in an interview that he couldn’t resist changing one specific shot in Titanic for his Titanic 3-D re-release: Remember the scene when Rose is on the driftwood looking up at the stars? Apparently Cameron messed up the star pattern for that time of year and corrected it in the new version:
Cameron tells British magazine Culture, “Oh, there is one shot that I fixed. It’s because Neil deGrasse Tyson, who is one of the U.S.’ leading astronomers, sent me quite a snarky email saying that, at that time of year, in that position in the Atlantic in 1912, when Rose is lying on the piece of driftwood and staring up at the stars, that is not the star field she would have seen, and with my reputation as a perfectionist, I should have known that and I should have put the right star field in.
“So I said, ‘All right, you son of a b**ch, send me the right stars for the exact time, 4.20am on April 15, 1912, and I’ll put it in the movie.’ So that’s the one shot that has been changed.”
WHATTTTTT???? How DARE he change a frame of the original Titanic? I don’t care HOW minor it was, that was your completed film, Cameron, it belongs to the public now, and you DON’T GET DO-OVERS.

WHO’S WITH ME??? ROSE SHOT FIRST! ROSE SHOT FIRST! ROSE SHOT FIRST!

First Photo Of The Titanic Iceberg Reveals Shocking New Details

Here’s the first photo ever taken of the iceberg that sunk the Titanic, which is currently up for auction – it originally appeared on a passenger’s Twitpic along with the message “This iceberg would do a better job hosting the Photograph Oscars than Sir Jerimiah Franco! #SXSW”

It’s kind of hard to make out the iceberg there? Waaaaaitttttt aaaaa minuttttte…
ENHANCE:

AHA! I knew he was behind this. He was still bitter about his incorrect Picasso prediction. I bid seventy million pesos!

Groupon Now Offering Trip To The Titanic’s Wreckage For TRUE Fans

Are you a Titanic superfan, but felt that the Titanic 3-D re-release didn’t get you close enough to the action? Good news! Groupon is now offering a $12,500 ‘Titanic’ vacation package that includes an underwater trek to the actual wreckage of the Titanic, which may or may not be manned by Bill Paxton:
Groupon is offering the deal, valued at $59,680… The package features a 13-day excursion that includes round-trip airfare from anywhere in the lower 48 states to St. John’s Island, transport via “a professional ship” from St. John’s to the Titanic site, one day of exploration on a deep-ocean vessel and admission to events relating to the 100-year anniversary of the ill-fated ship’s voyage.
Ehhh, I don’t know – even as a massive devotee to badly-aging 90s Oscar bait and real-life grisly disasters that killed over a thousand people.

Maybe instead, Groupon and James Cameron could strike a happy medium and re-release Titanic in 4-D, and it’s just one of those 3-D Disney World movies where water squirts you in the thigh when Kate Winslet spits? And the tickets are 11 grand?
