The Reunion

the reunion pinoy movie
The Reunion movie is Star Cinema’s next generation of Barkada movies which features young actors such as Enchong Dee, Enrique Gil, Xian Lim and Kean Cipriano. The film is directed by Frasco Mortiz who happens to be the son of Direk Bobot Mortiz and nephew of ABS CBN Executive Charo Santos. Gee, I guess it must be nice to have a family in showbiz to get a head start.
The film is about four guys who obviously aren’t too happy with their current careers in life. They deal with it by reminiscing how cool their lives during their high school days. Eventually, they concluded that their misery started with the breakup of their friend’s relationship. By plotting to get them back together, they hope that their lives will improve if that happens.

Zac Efron is Penshoppe Philippines’ Latest Image Model

zac efron penshoppe

Guess who’s the latest hollywood star image model of Penshoppe? It’s no other than Zac Efron. I bet that gets a lot of filipino fans giddy with excitement in seeing him in Philippines soon. It seems that Penshoppe is getting foreign celebrity endorsers such as Mario Maurer and Ed Westwick. While they’re at it, they might as well improve the women’s clothing line since it leaves a lot to be desired. Just saying.

I just love this Banned Belo Billboard!

albert martinez banned bill
Wow Albert Martinez is in good shape at age of 50. But of course his body and looks is courtesy of Belo Medical Group. Actually I’m surprised that he didn’t look like a wax figure as compared to other Belo clients. Really strange that this ad didn’t make it to the billboards, it’s not like he’s wearing speedos or anything.

Manny Pacquiao Gets Rejected in Application to Exclusive Manila Polo Club

manny pacquiao rejected by manila polo club
I wasn’t surprised for a bit when Manny Pacquiao’s application to Exclusive Manila Polo club got turned down. MPC’s reason for the snub is “To preserve a lifestyle.” Pretty dumb of Manny to assume that just because he’s pretty loaded with moolah, he’s got the whole world at his feet. You just can’t buy class, period. You’re just a boxer Manny who got lucky to get paid millions to beat the crap out of someone. Obviously, those that worship him and puts him in pedestal are pathetic bottom feeders of the society that blames the government why they are still poor.
Can you imagine the Ayalas, Zobels, Lopez and etc hobnobbing with Aling Dionesia, my goodness. No amount of money, hermes and expensive items can give one class.

Aling Dionisia Feeling Celebrity

Michael Marley’s July 13 article on BoxingPlanet.net stated, “The Pinoy Idol just got snubbed for membership by the grand poobahs at theManila Golf Club and Manila Polo Club and the story has been relegated to a few lines here and there in the Filipino press. Clearly, this is prejudice based on pedigree…”
But one board member of the Manila Golf Club spoke to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) to clarify one thing: the Pacman submitted an application to Manila Polo Club alone and not to both clubs.
The reason, according to this board member, could be exclusivity: “It’s a small club in a small village. They want to preserve a lifestyle.”
Exclusive clubs, such as The Manila Golf Club, are particularly strict in terms of its members’ bringing of guests, bodyguards, or in Pacqiuao’s case, an entire entourage.
The board member elaborated that even The Manila Golf Club’s two honorary members—the Philippine President and the mayor of Makati City—are not permitted to bring along bodyguards.
