Meet the The Dark Knight Spud

…Because we have to chase him. He’s the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we’ll hunt him, because he can take it. Because he’s not our hero… he’s a silent guardian, a watchful protector… a Dark Knight. Also he is a potato and you can pop his limbs off and it’s super fun.

Behold, Gotham’s morally ambiguous starchy protector, The Dark Knight Spud:

Intimidating! The Potato-Head-ified Dark Knight is currently selling for $17.99 online, which is a steal for something that so perfectly captures everything about the Christopher Nolan / Christian Bale Batman, right down to that cartoony diagonal smile that Batman is literally making nonstop throughout both films.

The First Offical Dark Knight Rises Trailer Is REALLY Frickin’ Weird

While I’m definitely going to see The Dark Knight Rises regardless, I have to say, this first official trailer that I just found online is REALLY bizarre. It doesn’t show any of the characters from the previous two films, and doesn’t really give away much plot, other than that most of the film involves a surf contest and that it’s generally pretty groovy. Whatever – I’m sure Christopher Nolan can make it work.

Behold, the first official Dark Knight Rises trailer:

(Fiiiine, if you want to watch the real trailer, you can do that here (http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/wb/thedarkknightrises/). Though honestly, if the video above was the actual trailer, would that make you ANY less likely to see this movie on opening night?)
