The Bourne Legacy Has Got Nothing On The Bourne Lugosi

Sure, everyone is making a big fuss about the latest Bourne installment, The Bourne Legacy, starring Jeremy Renner in lieu of our rugged hero Matt Damon. But IIII’m going to STICK MY NECK OUT on THIS ONE and say that producers made a big mistake not hiring Bela Lugosi for the part of Jason Bourne. 

I mean think about it: A fearless assassin, trained with the utmost precision, who is also a freaky looking old school vampire. Pamela Landy pulls the top secret file out of her drawer, with a stamp on it labeled ‘BLEDSTONE.’ Wanting to catch him, but also strangely… drawn to him. I believe this is what we industry people call “$$$$$.”

Plus, Lugosi’s been gearing up for the part his whole life. Sorry Renner, but I think we’d all rather “Lugosi” this version. No? Just me? Not even me? OK.

Valerie Bariou is stand-in of Rachel Weisz for Bourne Legacy

Model Valerie Bariou is elated at being chosen as a stand-in of Rachel Weisz. While in hollywood, extras and stand-in treats this as “just another job”. Here in the Philippines, it’s a big of a deal. Unlike the extras, the stand-in’s face can never be seen. In short, they’re a crash test dummies for the lead stars. They have to do all the dangerous stunts and the tester for the scene. Well, whatever makes them happy though.

Si Rachel Weisz ang Hollywood actress na nandito ngayon sa Pilipinas para sa shooting ng Hollywood film na Bourne Legacy, na isinulat at idinidirek ni Tony Gilroy.
Kasama ni Rachel na nagsu-shooting sa Pilipinas ang co-stars niya sa pelikula na sina Jeremy Renner (Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol) at Edward Norton (The Incredible Hulk).
Ilang lugar sa Manila ang napiling maging location ng movie, kabilang na ang Sta. Ana, Intramuros, at Navotas Fish Port.
Kaya nang kinontak ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Valerie sa Facebook upang alamin ang mga karanasan niya bilang stand-in ni Rachel ay tipid ang kanyang mga naging kasagutan.
Ayon pa kay Valerie, “Sorry, I can’t say much about my experience yet.”
Pero inamin niyang nag-audition siya para sa naturang part.
“And yes, I auditioned. We were three at the final audition as stand-in for Rachel.

Bourne Legacy Manila Shoot

Forget about falling in line for some local talent search and head to the casting office for the Bourne Legacy shoot. It’s the shiz, I mean it’s not everyday you get to be in a hollywood production. I wonder how many local celebrities would audition as an extra. They may not have stellar gigs but it sure sounds cool if they were an “extra” in a hollywood film than be a lead star in some local soap nobody watches.
