The six-year-old in all of us lost a good buddy this morning--author
Maurice Sendak died after complications from a stroke. He was 83 years
old.
I think the first time my mom opened Where the Wild Things Are, my brain pretty much exploded. Sendak was a one-man imagination igniter.
And if you need further proof that decades later, he's still inspiring his formerly kiddie fans--look no further than Pinterest, which has become the new-age home of his magical art. Reflecting on Sendak today, we rounded up some of our favorites.
What are your memories of Where the Wild Things Are and Maurice Sendak's other books?
