A for Adorable Alexander

Yyyyyep. Bullett just did a profile on True Blood and Battleship star Alexander Skarsgård which included a photo of the actor HOLDING A BABY LAMB. It requires, and will receive, no further elaboration.

Alexander Skarsgard Lamb

AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Although to be fair, Skarz, how adorable would you really be if you put the lamb down? Aha. Still very adorable. I see. Carry On, then. “On” is short for “One With A Buncha Wool,” which is the lamb’s name, and I am telling you to literally resume carry it.

Call Me Maybe

In an attempt to jump into bandwagon from other hollywood celebrities who made earlier version of this video. Apparently this is what these hot bimbos came up.

It’s hard for me to like this video since they look like bunch of “trying hards” and pa-cute. Sorry naman :)

So..without further ado..Check this out:

The Les Miserables Trailer Is Here

I was TOTALLY teared up while watching this trailer for the upcoming blockbuster version of Les Miserables--and you'll see why.

There's not exactly a lot of hearing-the-people-sing triumphant moments in this preview--it's super, super sad and dark, and backed entirely by Anne Hathaway's vocals on "I Dreamed a Dream."

In fact, Anne, in all her Fantine anti-glory, is pretty much the star of the trailer. And it's breathtaking how different she looks. We get to see exactly how she got that short hair:

Here, watch for yourself.

Chocolate, the Secret Ingredient for Glowing, Beautiful Skin?

Splurge your way to gorgeous skin? I'm liking the sound of this! More on the news that an ingredient in chocolate may have skin-boosting qualities...
0528-chocolate-health_vg.jpg

According to reports, British scientists are investigating compounds in chocolate and say they've made a breakthrough. The flavanols in chocolate, they say, may have anti-aging, skin oxygenation properties. The scientists are working on supplements based on these compounds in chocolate that may increase the body's absorption of cocoa's flavanols.
In the meantime, we can wishfully think that maybe the occasional squares of chocolate we enjoy now and then may be be good for our complexion. Nothing wrong with a little wishful thinking!

Go chocolate!

Are Women Fatter these days?

It's a known fact that all people (not just women) are, on average, fatter these days.
But, a group of British researchers say that women have gained weight over the last forty years for this, rather sexist, reason.

Do you agree?

0529-woman-cleaning-fitness-vg.jpg

The cause of weight gain among women in the last half-century?
A team of British researchers says its because we're less likely to be vacuuming and sweeping the floors.

Sixty years ago, the average woman had a 28-inch waist (really?) and apparently burned 1,000 calories a day doing housework. Today? The average waistline is about 34 inches. Naturally, the researchers say that it was the housework that kept us slim! (What a concept, right?!)
“When you think of the time that women had to spend cleaning and cooking, life is so much easier now - although obviously that has contributed to the bigger waistlines,” one of the researchers said to the Mirror

Hmmm..

Yes, it does and I'm just going to try to forget that.

Sharon Stone Is A Filipino-Hating Nightmare Monster, So Says Her Former Filipino Nanny

Sharon Stone's heart is made of dehydrated Dalmatian puppy meat and she once skinned a Fraggle alive with her bare teeth in front of its family (exhibit: A), so I'm close to checking the "I Believe it!" box under The Los Angeles Times' story about how she brought her signature cold-blooded bitchiness on her former nanny. Sharon's ex-nanny Erlinda Elemen says Sharon didn't let her keep a Bible in the house (because the word of the lord goes against Sharon's Illuminati beliefs, duh) and always made fun of her Filipino accent. In other words, Sharon so didn't vote for Jessica Sanchez on American Idol.

In a lawsuit filed by Erlinda, she claimed that Sharon pink-slipped her ass after finding out that she was paid overtime. Erlinda regularly worked over 40 hours a week and so Sharon's staff paid her overtime. When Sharon found about out this, she demanded that Erlinda pay the money back and when she was met with a boldfaced NO, she fired Erlinda. Sharon told Erlinda that working overtime without her permission was "illegal."

Erlinda also claims that working for Sharon was a terrifying nightmare. Sharon constantly said Filipino people are "stupid" and told Erlinda not to talk to her three children, because she didn't want them to have a Filipino accent. Sharon made fun of Erlinda for going to church and didn't let her read the Bible in the house even though she lived there.

Erlinda started working for Sharon as her part-time nanny in 2006 and 2 years later she was promoted to head nanny. Sharon fired Erlinda on a day in February 2011.

This is seriously some Nanny Diaries shit. But if Sharon is such a Filipino-hating racist crazy, why would she hire a Filipino nanny in the first place? Unless, Sharon truly is 100% evil and making fun of Erlinda tickled the rotten veins in her dead heart.  They don't call her Cruella de Stone for nothing!

Becks brought his nipples out for Elle UK..

And the only thing I have to say about this is, WHERE ARE HIS EYES?! :)

New Best Simpsons Tumblr: “I Don’t Remember These Simpsons”

By now, you’ve likely seen the amazing Movie Simpsons Tumblr (if you haven’t, go there now and hang out forever byeeeee!), but continuing this trend of random but awesome new Simpsons Tumblrs, I couldn’t stop laughing at “I Don’t Remember These Simpsons”, a collection of viewing guide descriptions from recent forgettable Simpsons “episodes.”

An example:

Simpsons Tumblr

There’s only a few up at the moment, but they’re golden. And hopefully we can collectively guilt the Tumblr-operator into posting new ones every single minute, because we are the internet and are insatiable (but screaming UPDATE YOUR TUMBLR!!! at a stranger is the sincerest form of internet-flattery).

Robert Pattinson In Catching Fire? Here's Why If This Casting News Is True, It's the Worst Idea Ever!

Hunger Games fans, what would you say if I told you rumors are swirling that Robert Pattinson may be headed to Panem? Nothing is confirmed just yet but if Francis Lawrence, the director of Catching Fire, has his way--RPattz could be entering the arena as the deeply handsome and charming fan favorite--Finnick Odair.

524_robert-pattinson-kimmel_sm.jpg

And here's why I think this is the worst idea ever.

Everyone associates Rob with Twilight. It made his career, Twilight paved the way for the fandemonium surrounding the Hunger Games and I would go as far to say that there are people out there that even think Rob's real name is Edward Cullen. It would be too confusing--like if Emma Watson suddenly switched gears from playing Hermoine in Harry Potter and was the one cast as Katniss.

524_robert-pattinson-kristen-stewart-twilight_sm.jpg

I think it's okay if a famous actor plays Finnick--but I really think it hurts the movie to cast one that's already a pop culture icon. Love or hate Twilight, Rob has now played Edward in five Twilight movies. To me, Rob showing up in the Hunger Games cheapens it and makes it seem like a Twilight/Hunger Games crossover--you know, the way Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel did back in the day. I would be waiting for Edward to start fighting werewolves and sparkling in the sunlight instead of taking on the Capitol.

524_robert-pattinson-scruffy_sm.jpg

But while we're talking about Finnick--who in the world should play him? He's a major and game changing character in Catching Fire. Finding our Finnick is as exciting to me as casting Christian Grey (for the record, I say a big N-O to Rob taking on that role too--especially with Kristen Stewart as Anastasia Steele--for the same reasons I laid out above).

For those who need a quick refresher on Finnick: He's one of the most popular former Hunger Games competitors, famous for wielding a trident to claim his victory. He's basically a living, breathing, slightly arrogant Greek God--with amazing green eyes, a good heart and heart-wrenching love story. So ladies, who do we want for our Finnick? Someone fairly known and waiting for that breakout role--kinda the way Rob was before he was cast as Edward? Names that have floated around include Chris Zylka (Secret Circle and this summer's Spiderman) and Taylor Kitsch who has proven he could handle the arena with movies like John Carter and Battleship.
524_taylor-kitsch_sm.jpg

Or do we want a hot star we're already well acquainted with like Channing Tatum or maybe Jake Gyllenhaal?

524_channing-tatum-red-carpet_sm.jpg

My head is spinning thinking about casting Finnick but I maintain my anti-Rob stance. So, I leave it to you my friends . . . make your suggestions, offer your opinions and don't be afraid to hold back on who you want as your Finnick!

Hey, Wanna Waste 5 Minutes of Your Time With Kanye West?

Unless you enjoy being a productive member of society 24/7 (and if so, tell me your secret), you probably need a two-second mental break. So, allow me to introduce Kanyezone.com. You're welcome.

The rules of the game are simple. 1) Don't let Kanye West get into his zone.
2) If you lose, he's definitely in his zone.

40 Fun Ways to Rock Winged Eyeliner, As Seen On Pinterest

Case in point: this mesmerizing image of several eyes all dolled up differently using liquid liner. Get ready to be pinspired!

Granted, some of these are pretty straightforward, but there are plenty of fresh eye-deas here too. There are tribal designs, cool cutout styles, double-ended wings, faux lower lashes, and more.

I think it's refreshing to see the cat eye look shaken up with fun and interesting ways to wing out. And I'm sure the more intricate variations will require several hours of trial and error and copious amounts of patience, but as the old saying goes—practice makes perfect.

A lock for your pint of ice cream?

0524-ice-cream-lock_vg.jpg
Yes. Ben & Jerry's created it.
It's called the "Euphori-Lock" and after receiving the idea from a fan, Ben & Jerry's created it! The combination lock, which will be available for purchase soon, allows you to lock your fave pint from your nibbling roommate or snacky boyfriend. (Though, anyone who really wanted some ice cream could clearly just saw open the bottom half of the pint, right?)
But, I think there's a better use for this gadget: To lock yourself out of it! Have a serving, then to keep yourself from over-indulging, lock the pint and give a friend the combo. Seems like a great way to keep yourself from falling victim to late-night cravings, right?

Donna Summer’s Greatest Simpsons Moment

Simpsons Work Hard For The Money

Disco icon Donna Summer passed away today from cancer at the age of 63.

To be honest, we feel slightly inadequate attempting to properly eulogize someone whose career largely predated our upbringing (save for the occasional “Last Dance” karaoke butchering in our adult lifetime), so instead, here’s our personal favorite Donna Summer-related moment.

Here’s Homer Simpson singing “She Works Hard For The Money” using a tape-recorder-robot to successfully get out of a day of work. Apologies for the poor video quality, but I was ecstatic this was on the internet at all:

RIP, Donna Summer – thanks for the hits, and Homer thanks you for the flawlessly-executed day off.

9 Things No One Wants to Regret When They’re Older

The things you didn’t do when you had the chance.  That priceless relationship you neglected.  Those important words you left unspoken…

Every one of us has experienced feelings of regret.  But it’s not too late to set things straight.  We’re still here breathing.  Right now we have an opportunity to change our future.  Right now we can choose to erase regret from our later years.

Here are nine things no one wants to regret when they’re older, and some thoughts on avoiding these regrets:

1.  Not spending enough time smiling with the people you love.

You’ve heard the saying, ‘The best things in life are free.’  Well spending quality time with family and friends, enjoying the antics of a pet, seeing your child smile, experiencing intimate and heart-felt moments with your significant other – these times are precious and free.

Don’t get so caught up in the rat race, working 50+ hours a week, to the point where you are too stressed and exhausted to enjoy your closest relationships.  By simplifying your lifestyle and making conscious choices along the way, it is possible to live on less money, and thus work fewer hours and enjoy more of what matters most.

As we get older, fun is often underrated.  With all of our responsibilities, fun seems like an indulgence.  It shouldn’t be.  It should be a requirement.  When your work life is busy, and all your energy is focused in that arena, it’s all too easy to find yourself off balance.  While drive and focus is important, if you intend to maintain happiness and peace in your life you still need to balance in the soccer games, the family dinners, the intimate dates with your significant other, etc.

2.  Holding a grudge and never forgiving someone you care about.

We’ve all been hurt by another person at some point – we were treated poorly, trust was broken, hearts were hurt.  And while this pain is normal, sometimes it lingers for too long.  We relive the pain over and over and have a hard time letting go.

This creates problems.  It not only causes us to be unhappy, but it can strain or ruin our relationships, distract us from work and family and other important things, and make us reluctant to open up to new things and people.  We get trapped in a cycle of anger and hurt, and miss out on the beauty of life as it happens.

Grudges are a waste of perfect happiness.  If there’s someone in your life who deserves another chance, give it to them.  If you need to apologize, do it.  Give your story together a happy new beginning.

3.  Fulfilling everyone else’s dreams, instead of your own.

Unfortunately, just before you take your first step on the righteous journey to pursue your dreams, people around you, even the ones who deeply care for you, will give you awful advice.  It’s not because they have evil intentions.  It’s because they don’t understand the big picture – what your dreams, passions, and life goals mean to you.

Have the courage to live a life true to YOU, not the life others expect of you.   Make time to pursue your passion, no matter how busy you are or what anyone else says.

As our friend Steve Jobs once said:

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.  Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.  Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice, heart and intuition.  They somehow already know what you truly want to become.  Everything else is secondary.”

4.  Not being honest about how you feel.

Say what you need to say, and never apologize for showing your feelings.  Many people suppress their feelings in order to keep peace with others.  As a result, they settle for carrying the weight of their own silence.  Give yourself permission to feel a full range of emotions.  When you’re in touch with what you’re feeling, you’re more likely to understand the situation at hand and resolve it instead of avoiding it.

Also, if you want to connect with others, you need to accept and love yourself first, even when your truth feels heavy.  In the end, expressing your feelings will boost your relationships, including your relationship with yourself, to a new healthier level.  And your open honesty will also help you to realize and release unhealthy relationships from your life.

5.  Being foolish and irresponsible with your finances.

When you spend less than you make you buy lifestyle flexibility and freedom.  You are buying the ability to say yes to the things that matter, because you’re saving on the things that don’t.  Money can bring comfort, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with enjoying that comfort.  But it’s important to spend money on the things that truly matter to you, and let go of spending that does not add value to your life.

Live a comfortable life, not a wasteful one.  Stop buying stuff you do not need.  Do not spend to impress others.  Do not live life trying to fool yourself into thinking wealth is measured in material objects.  Manage your money wisely so your money does not manage you.

6.  Getting caught up in needless drama and negativity.

Don’t expect to achieve long-term happiness if you surround yourself with negative people.  Don’t give part-time people a full-time position in your life.  Know your value and what you have to offer, stay positive, and never settle for anything less than what you deserve.

There comes a time in life when you have to let go of all the pointless drama and the people who create it.  Staying out of other people’s drama is an incredibly effective way to simplify your life and reduce stress.  Surround yourself with positive people who make you laugh so hard that you forget the bad, so you can focus on the good.  Life really is too short to be anything but positive and happy.

7.  Never making your own happiness a priority.

For the average person happiness is a choice, yet numerous people are unhappy.  There are many reasons, but it all boils down to one simple principle:  They choose something else over happiness.  Because it often takes less effort to be unhappy.

To find true happiness in life you have to follow your heart and intuition.  You have to be who you are, and design a lifestyle and career that fulfills you – no matter what that entails or what people say about it.  And it is never too late to do so.

So be happy; be yourself.  If others don’t like it, then let them be.  Life isn’t about pleasing everybody.  Begin today by taking responsibility for your own happiness.  You are the only one who can create it.  The choice is yours.

8.  Never making a difference in the lives of others.

Every person can make a difference, and every person should try.

In life, you get what you put in.  When you make a positive impact in someone else’s life, you also make a positive impact in your own life.  Do something that’s greater than you – something that helps someone else to be happy or to suffer less.

Remember, making a positive difference in one person’s life can change the world.  Maybe not the whole world, but their world.

9.  Failing because you were scared to fail.

If your fear of failure, or of not being perfect, has driven you to take the safe road of doing nothing, you have already failed.  Accept the fact that everyone fails, but don’t accept the act of not trying as your form of failure.

If you find yourself at a point of intense decision making where you’re caught in a spiral of over-analysis and hesitation, and you’re making no progress, take a deep breath, break the spiral, make an educated guess on the next logical step, and take it.  Even if you get it wrong, you will learn something that will help you get it right next time.

Your failures along the road to your goals are simply opportunities to learn and grow.  You might not be there yet, but if you keep moving forward, you’ll get there eventually.

This Secret Acupressure spot may boost Energy

Yawning at your desk? Me too! Acupressure to the rescue!
Experts say that rubbing this spot on your legs could give you a boost of energy.

0516-energy_vg.jpg

I recently learned about an energizing trick that some people swear by: Apparently, the backs of your knees are loaded with energizing receptors, at least according to the ancient practice of acupressure.

How to: Simply press your fingers against the back of your knees and apply gentle pressure. Massage lightly if you like, but the key is holding the pressure for a few moments to chase the yawns away.

Worth a try, right?

If you haven’t seen The Avengers yet, SKIP THIS POST – It’s not totally-spoilery, but it’s something that’s probably better saved as a surprise.

For the other 90 obskillion of you who have seen The Avengers (I gave everyone a second weekend before posting this), Xavierpop has taken the liberty of immortalizing the film’s most crowd-pleasing moment in GIF form, which you can now experience on a loop forever.

Chew Sloooow--the Important New Reason Why

Are you a fast eater? I'm guilty, and I blame my crazy-busy schedule. But, there's an important new reason for me, and you, to chew a little slower and savor our food longer...

0509-diet-nutrition_vg.jpg

Healthy experts have long warned that fast eating can lead to weight gain, but what you might not realize is that wolfing down your food can also lead to another health consequence: I higher chance of developing type 2 diabetes. Eeks!

Lithuanian researcher found that speedy eaters were two and a half times more likely to be diagnosed with type 2 diabetes than those who eat at a more snail-like pace.

The researchers aren't sure exactly why this is the case, but it's worth remembering next time you're sitting down to a meal. (And, interestingly, consider sipping on coffee with your meal: The same team found that drinking two cups of coffee per day also slashed the risk for diabetes!)

Celebrities Who Have Saved the Day Avengers' Style

Seriously, can you imagine having someone like Chris Hemsworth come and save the day? Yowza. Are celebrity heroes actually a thing? Turns out, there actually is quite a number worthy of their own comic books!

0508_mila-kunis_ob.jpg

1. Mila Kunis
When a 50-year-old man who works in Mila's home collapsed in a violent seizure, Mila rushed to his side, asked a friend to call 911, grabbed his head to prevent him from choking, and even volunteered to ride along with him in the ambulance.

0508_dustin-hoffman_ob.jpg

2. Dustin Hoffman
In other recent celeb-saving-the-day news, a jogger credits Dustin Hoffman for saving his life after he went into cardiac arrest while running through London's Hyde Park. Dustin stayed on the scene until paramedics arrived and resuscitated the 27-year-old.

0508_kate-winslet_ob.jpg

3. Kate Winslet
This story is so surreal (and awesome!) that it's hard to believe it's not fake, but I promise, Kate Winslet really did help carry Richard Branson's 90-year-old mother out of a burning building on his private island. "She was wondering when a Director was going to shout CUT!" Branson joked on his blog.

0508_patrick-dempsey_ob.jpg

4. Patrick Dempsey
Hellooooo, McDreamy! Patrick not only saves lives on Grey's Anatomy, but also in real life. The actor saw a teenager's car flip over near his home in Malibu and rushed to the scene. He used a crow bar to pry the doors open, pulled the teen to safety, and called paramedics. It gets better—the teen's first words after being pulled from the wreck were "Are you famous?" "Yeah, I'm a doctor," Patrick replied. Eee!

5. Harrison Ford

Harrison's real-life heroics are on par with Indiana Jones himself. The part-time Wyoming resident offers his flying skills and helicopter for rescue missions—he even saved a pair of stranded hikers from a mountain wearing, of course, a cowboy hat.

6. T.I.

Rapper T.I. has what might be the most moving superhero story of the bunch. While on his way to a video shoot in Atlanta, he heard that a man was threatening to jump off of a 22-story building and commit suicide. T.I. quickly met with police and recorded a video message to the man that they then showed him. Persuaded, the man agreed to step off the ledge and meet with the rapper in person.

7. Ryan Gosling

Um, who can honestly forget the Gosling's many well-documented (and much beloved) heroic actions? First, he stopped a street fight on the streets of Manhattan. Then, he saved a woman from getting hit by a cab. As if we didn't already love him—and yes, his abs—enough. Le sigh.

Here's an awesome, totally Photoshopped pic of these outstanding celebs as superheroes. Enjoy!

Are there any superhero stars that I missed? And what did you think of The Avengers? I was in awe the whole time!
